Falkirk Tayavalla Short Breaks
Main information
Type of service: Respite and short breaks
Service URL: http://www.actionforchildren.org.uk/our-services/projects/falkirk-tayavalla-short-breaks
The service is the result of a partnership between NCH, Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils and Forth Valley Health Board, and is based in a purpose built home. The home is open all year round and aims to offer a caring, safe and stimulating environment and to nurture the all-round development of children and adolescents physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. The operational policy's statement of aims and objectives, the programme of staff training and supervision, and parental involvement though review meetings, questionnaires and the advisory committee ensure that the service runs smoothly. Service users would normally be referred by Social Work. Volunteers may be accepted to work with service users, subject to a Disclosure Scotland check.
