Flintshire Advocacy Services

Main information

Type of service: Advocacy (general)

This independent service will work with anyone over the age of 18 who lives in Flintshire with mental health difficulties who needs to have access to an independent advocacy service. The service provides qualified advocates. They will offer formal representation and support at meetings and appointments. They are a valuable source of information and can help people who use their service feel in control of their own lives - to feel empowered. An advocate is someone who will listen to your worries and problems and inform you of your rights and choices. They will provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions. They can support you in speaking up for yourself or, if you'd prefer, they can speak on your behalf.
