Freedom Family Holidays (East Dene) IoW
Main information
Type of service: Holidays
This service has been providing Freedom Family Holidays for families living with autism and related behaviours for 10 years. Starting with just two families, these holidays have grown. East Dene on the Isle of Wight is a place that provides a combination of Victorian with a homely atmosphere, action and adventure with peace and quiet, deep conversations with a chill out. With sea views and woodlands, East Dene is in the village of Bonchurch, away from traffic and with clear boundaries so that children can play and enjoy the freedom of the great outdoors. Bonchurch has a warm climate and village atmosphere. At East Dene they provide activities for those who want to join in whilst the Island is famous for fossils, festivals and fun. East Dene is close to Ventnor, and the seaside town of Shanklin. They have a variety of Family Rooms to fit family sizes. Whilst you retain responsibility for your family members, staff at East Dene pride themselves on providing you with as much support as possible during your holiday. Their aim is to know you and your family so that they can best meet your individual needs. There are outdoor and indoor play areas, and a range of children's activities including archery, den building, pizza making and the heated swimming pool. Or you may choose to relax on a woodland walk or go rock pooling down at the beach. In the evenings the hot tub is a treat for the adults. Whatever the special requests, however odd they might seem, they can provide it. Extra discounts available if you book your ferry travel with them.
