Gilheany, Barry
Main information
Type of service: Counsellor
I work with adults and young persons from all social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and with a variety of presenting issues eg anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement and recovery from addiction. But I have specific experience with adults and young persons on the high functioning end of the autism spectrum. Although my training is psychodynamic, I can work equally well within person centred, integrative and social learning methods. I offer a minimum of twelve sessions weekly for a fee of £15 per session with the possibility of more long-term client work, I work within the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Code and have regular monthly supervision. My counselling approach is integrative, person centred and psychodynamic.
