Grateley House School is a 38-week residential school for young people aged 9-19 years who are experiencing difficulties as a result of Asperger syndrome and other difficulties. Admission can take place at any time during the school year and throughout KS2, KS3, KS4 or in preparation for post-16. For students living close to the school there is flexibility for day provision. Students have access to the national curriculum with teaching to meet the needs of our young people. Grateley draws upon a proven programme of specialist education, specialist 24-hour care and a wide range of clinical and therapeutic inputs, including speech & language therapy, behavioural therapy, occupational therapy, psychiatry and psychology. Multi-disciplinary teams and high staff ratios ensure intensive individual support. We offer community-based programmes, vocational training and further education opportunities. The main school building is set in 8 acres of grounds with a wide-range of additional education and residential premises on the site. We follow the SPELL framework. Residential respite services are just for their own pupils. Stratford Lodge in Salisbury is the post 16 extension provision for pupils both already at Grateley House School and external pupils wishing to enter from the age of 16 years. Grateley House School is a part of the Cambian Group, one of the UK's leading providers of specialist services in education and care for young people with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs).
