Dr Ken Greaves is a Specialist Consultant Psychologist who has worked as part of the diagnostic team at the Lorna Wing Centre. He is also a Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist who has worked for many years in various settings including higher education, health, social care and work environments. Ken works with young people and adults who have an autism spectrum condition (ASC) and/or related neurodiverse conditions including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. Ken also has experience in working with people with complex and severe learning difficulties, particularly those from black and Asian minority ethnic (BAME) communities. He has experience of providing independent, expert reports for tribunals and for employers. He currently specialises in working with adolescents and adults who have Asperger syndrome, and is Specialist Educational Psychologist for Cambridge University. Dr Greaves co-founded the National Autism Special Interest Group for Educational Psychologists. He has close links with Prospects, The National Autistic Society (NAS) supported employment service.
Assessment procedure: Developmental assessment, psychological assessment involving individual, carers and involved professionals.
Follow up service: Yes, cognitive behavioural therapy, staff development - training, individual support, counselling and mentoring.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, professions involved: clinical psychology, occupational therapy, paediatrics, psychiatry, specialist teachers, specialist social workers and speech and language therapy.
