staff access Structure, Positive (approaches and expectations), Empathy, Low
arousal, Links (SPELL) induction training. Thereafter, further training is
available for those who wish to specialise. Aims of the provision:

and progress, without causing unnecessary stress. Encourage independent
learning and opportunities to develop independence, promote social inclusion
and create an awareness of autism spectrum to peers, and provide a 'safe haven'

regarded as a vital part of the provision's work. Parents have weekly
timetabled contact to help develop positive working relationships between home
and school. Parents are invited to make contact at any time to discuss issues,
or celebrate successes. Break and lunch times: activities or games are offered
to help give meaning to these unstructured times, or used as quiet time.
