Within the school we have 3 autism specific classrooms that are setup to cater for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Within the units we use the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH) methods. The name of these units are Rainbow 1, 2 and 3 catering for up to 8 students in each across the age range 5-16 years. Other facilities provided by the school are an allotment and two minibuses plus a 7 seater car. Other extra curriculum activities offered by the school communication skills, Duke of Edinburgh Award, horticulture, independent living skills, life skills, organisational skills, personal social health education, school trips, vocational skills, work experience and an after school club.
