Hillcrest is a 5 bed residential care home with day-care facilities currently catering for 5 able bodied adults with autism aged 18-52 years, situated in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Each customer enjoys their own private room with en-suite facilities. In addition to the lounge, common facilities include a sensory room and education/vocational room where the service users complete tasks designed around enhancing their independence skills. The T.E.A.C.C.H. style of communication is used throughout the home. Hillcrest is located within easy reach of all local facilities including the gym, college, swimming, trampolining, bowling, cafe, pub, country parks etc. Each customer has a person centred plan that is tailored to meet their individual needs, wishes and preferences. Day care service is available to those people living at the home. Inspection reports can be viewed at CQC website. Referrals to to the service are usually taken via Social Services, self referrals and independent budgets also accepted.
