Hope Corner Academy
Main information
Type of service: Day schools, Schools
Hope Corner Academy is part of Hope Corner Community Church and was initiated to meet the needs of our community. Our passion and heart is to meet the needs of young people who are marginalised and excluded from education and society, and their families. In our local community we were witnessing the breakdown of family values. We believe that Christianity has a lot to say about families and so we decided that we would do all we can to meet those needs. Our projects are designed to encompass the whole of the family, from the youngest to the oldest, regardless of race, beliefs, or sexual orientation; our number one goal is to support people at their point of need. Hope Corner Academy was born from this vision and is the only church run Independent special educational needs (SEN) school in Halton. At Hope Corner Academy we provide a wide range of educational programmes for young people aged 14 to 17, with a range of special educational needs including moderate, behavioural, emotional and autism with associated behaviours. We are approved by the Department for Education and Ofsted to provide education for young people with special educational needs. With considerable expertise in working with young people, we offer a holistic learning environment, providing a new state of the art learning facility and specially trained staff; We have a wide ranging curriculum, with access to facilities in our new centre with wider access to youth clubs and camps.
