Type of service: Advocacy (general), Advocacy (legal)

Provide Independent Social Work assessments and reports for disputes with Local Authority Assessments, particularly for people with Autism, Asperger Syndrome and Learning Disabilities. Also provide Independent reports for Mental Health tribunals or Hospital Managers Reviews; Best Interests Assessments under MCA 2005 & DoLS. Their procedure is to take referrals from either Private Individuals, Solicitors, Legal Representative, Local Authorities, Voluntary Sectors. They provide an estimate of costs and timescales. Fees for Solicitors are agreed as per the Legal Aid Agency. They use and are experts in Mental Health Law, including the MCA 2005, DoLs 2009 and Care Act 201. Provide a Forensic Service to those with Autism, Asperger Syndrome and Learning Disability caught up in the Criminal Justice System. Member of HCPC & British Association of Social Workers.
