The Ingleby Hotel is a respite service which caters for a large client base with a variety of customer needs and requirements. The hotel is a modern contemporary building offering high quality accommodation and communal space for customers to enjoy their stay. All customers are encouraged to participate in all types of activities whilst they stay at the hotel. They are encouraged to join in with washing, cooking, shopping, preparing and cooking food. These daily living skills are made to be enjoyable tasks and sometimes it is the first time customers are encouraged to undertake them. Many frequent customers are integrated with local shopkeepers and members of the community and know each other on first name terms. The hotel also offers respite in a variety of other ways including holiday respite or respite in clients' own homes affording many parents/carers to go on well deserved breaks knowing their loved ones are in familiar surroundings. Holiday breaks take on many forms as the staff teams are made up of a cross section of the community and are able to support in many ways including adventure holidays, craft weekends, walking/hiking breaks and many more. Self referrals and referrals through social services may be accepted.
