Intensive Interaction Consultancy

Main information

Type of service: Training providers, Interventions and therapies, Training providers

I help people with autism to develop their social communication through the use of Intensive Interaction. I am an Associate of the Intensive Interaction Institute (www.intensiveinteraction.co.uk) and deliver training and consultancy to professionals and families across the UK and overseas. Consultancy with families involves training and mentoring in the use of Intensive Interaction, which helps people with autism to enjoy being with other people more, make emotional connections and therefore enhances relationships. The approach has a positive impact on social, intellectual, emotional and psychological development.

I have extensive experience of working with people with autism and seeing the progress that they make as a result of Intensive Interaction. I also have first hand experience, being the adoptive parent a child with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).

I have a PhD in Learning Disabilities and I abide by the Code of Conduct as set out by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
