JARCS was established in 2000. It works to: encourage and improve the free flow of information; and improve access for disabled people to learning, employment and leisure opportunities. JARCS aims to do this by working with organisations to: advise on accessibility of services, with particular emphasis on the production and dissemination of information; identify/confirm gaps in service;
organise accessible conferences/events; and design and run training on disability related topics. These include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Awareness and Learning, a course for people who support adults in a variety of learning settings.
