Provides a Mental Health Service across the North of England, Wales and Scotland to deaf people of all ages who may experience emotional/behavioural issues, personality difficulties, drug and alcohol abuse, learning difficulties and many more. The service provides in-patient (separate services for male and female patients), day-patient, outpatient and community based outreach services. The Social Work service ensures that social care values around mental health recovery and inclusion are upheld. The Social Work service, along with the multi-disciplinary team, works collaboratively with the service users Home Authority to ensure that all relevant agencies / professionals are aware of their responsibilities throughout the care pathway. The service also provides a range of treatments including psychological, specialist interventions, speech and language, occupational therapy, art psychology and social care and cognitive behavioural therapy.
