Kaimes School is a special school providing education for primary and secondary aged pupils in the South East of Edinburgh. Kaimes is a school for pupils who have complex, long term additional support needs where the presumption of mainstream can not be met. Our learners require support with social and pragmatic communication needs associated with autism spectrum..

The school aims to provide a differentiated curruculum for its pupils and to cater for individual needs within a caring and supportive environment. It provides a highly structured and predictable routine, together with a flexible approach to help pupils cope with the organisation and complexities of school. Programs of work are adapted and differentiated as appropriate to meet the needs of pupils with pervasive communication difficulties. .
