Kemble House
Main information
Type of service: Residential services
Kemble House is a large Victorian house situated in lively Friern Barnet, north London. The home has been divided into 2 services, first floor specialises in care for people with a primary diagnosis of Asperger syndrome or high functioning autism, ground floor specialises in the care for people with autism and moderate learning disability (MLD). Residents are supported to develop their independent living and social awareness skills to enable them to move to more independent living when appropriate. Staff aim to provide the residents with advice and support them in accessing activities and services which will make a difference to their lives, including college and employment. The service encourages independence skills and will support residents to help with cooking and daily tasks around the home. Each resident will have their own care plan bespoke to their needs and capabilities. The staff will encourage and support residents to work towards gaining new skills and prompting independence, building confidence. Residents are supported towards a move to supported living. We provide care pathways enabling individuals living with autism, mental health and learning disabilities a variety of routes to independent living. From our therapeutic campus to residential care and supported living we specialise in providing care in a person's life. We also provide respite support services, to allow short breaks for full time carers or a 'between placements' service.
