The Psychology & Challenging Needs Team is made up of: clinical psychologists; counselling psychologist; behaviour analysts; senior practitioners; counsellors; specialist nurses; trainee psychologists. From time to time we do take on trainee clinical psychologists and trainee counselling psychologists . The Service offers an ASC/Asperger Clinic. This clinic provides an ASC Diagnostic service using structured and unstructured interviewing and post -diagnostic support (as well as pre-diagnostic information). Additional funding can be sought if the individual diagnosed with an autism spectrum condition (ASC)requires individual one to one psychological input, specialist adapted CBT, counselling, group work, or psychometric assessment(s). Consultation for professionals and training to external organisations is also offered. The Asperger Clinic on occasions also works alongside with other local community services, for example, local Community Mental Health Teams, Kingston Asperger Service (who offer Social Care Support); local IAPT Service and with the GP's in the Kingston area.
