Kisharon Supported Living Service
Main information
Type of service: Supported living schemes
Provides a supported living service both as sole provider and in partnership with other providers for people with learning disabilities living in their own (rented) homes; this service supports people with mild to moderate as well as profound and multiple and complex learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism. Emphasis is given to enabling service users to live a fulfilling life within and as a part of their local Orthodox Jewish community. Each unit offers person centred planning to meet each individual's needs and aspirations. All Kisharon's services follow an Orthodox Jewish ethos and admission criteria stipulate that service users must be Jewish; Kisharon's policy is that Orthodox Jewish observance and practices should be followed in homes and supported living units under Kisharon's umbrella.
