Lanarkshire Carers Centre is a voluntary organisation which supports unpaid carers who look after a family member, partner, friend or neighbour who cannot manage on their own through illness or disability. They provide carers with information, free training, emotional support and access to existing community care services. They also provide contact with other carers through local carer support groups. They have a newsletter for members which is published 3 times a year and they also celebrate carers week annually. They facilitate several groups for parents of children with additional support needs.
