Lark Hall Centre provides the education for 28 pupils with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It is an integral part of a 2 form entry primary school. The children are based in 4 classes of up to 8 children. The Centre has recently been relocated to the Lower School building and classes have been refurbished. The children share the facilities of the whole school. Inclusion is well established and operates for children at various levels. Classes are staffed with a teacher and at least 2 members of support staff. An outreach service is provided by the school to primary and secondary aged children of 5-16 years with ASD in the borough. The school itself is only for primary aged children of 5-11 years. Volunteers and students on work placements may be accepted to work in the Centre.
