Lemsford service is a registered care home supporting men and women with learning difficulties, and epilepsy, aged 35-45 years. Lemsford service is a three-storey house, separated into three units, with a three bedroomed detached house in the grounds. The top floor unit has two bedrooms; one with a hand basin, a kitchen/diner, a lounge, bathroom with toilet and one separate toilet. The middle floor has two bedrooms with hand basins, a kitchen/diner, a separate toilet and bathroom with toilet and adapted bath. 66a has three bedrooms with hand basins, a kitchen/diner, a lounge, a separate toilet and a bathroom. All units have access to a private garden with an outdoor room containing sensory equipment, art room and games; it is also used for visits. The service is a short walk from the town centre and is close to a train station, a park, a library, pubs and leisure facilities. It is also close to Hemel Hempstead and its facilities. The service has two vehicles used to help people access the community. People are referred by Hertfordshire Social Services. Fees are block funded.
