Dr Samantha Lewis is a qualified Clinical Psychologist
with over 10 years of experience of working with adults with Asperger syndrome
and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) within the National Health
Service (NHS) as both a diagnostician and as a therapist. She continues to
practise in the NHS part time in a specialist team for Asperger syndrome and
ADHD and also offer private Diagnostic Assessments for adults with possible
Asperger syndrome and autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). She also offers
follow up psychological sessions, advice to carers and consultation to staff
working with adults with these conditions. Assessments are detailed and include
the use of diagnostic tools, structured interview with individual and family
member and a developmental interview. Cognitive assessments such as Wechsler
Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) can form part of the assessment, if appropriate.
