Type of service: Diagnostic services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
Service for children and adolescents up to the age of 18. Referrals from GP, school or health visitor.
Assessment procedure: ADI-R, ADOS, observations in school, information gathered from all involved with the child. Use ICD-IO criteria. All diagnoses are verified through ASC forum.
Follow up service: Any interventions that are required, e.g. behavioural management, parental support, siblings groups.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Multidisciplinary approach includes: Clinical psychology, psychiatry, paediatrics, speech and language therapy and education.
