If you think that your child is having some difficulties, you can approach the education authority for advice. The authority may wish to carry out a full assessment. Glasgow Education Service has two Pre-5 assessment centres who may offer a multi-agency assessment for children whose language and communication development is causing concern. Access to this service is by referral from educational, community or health services.
