The home is close to the shops and other local amenities including a leisure centre, pubs and adult education opportunities. Beautiful countryside and a number of pretty villages surround the town. The house is a Registered Care home with sleep-in facilities. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the first floor. The house currently supports individuals with physical disabilities who are wheelchair users. Everyone has their own bedroom with a TV aerial point. There is a bathroom downstairs with an adapted bath. There is also a bathroom on the first floor. There is a communal lounge, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor. The dining room has doors that open out onto the garden with a patio and lawn area. The home is suitable for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities requiring 24-hour support but not on a one-to-one basis. The people who live at Lodge Lane age from their early twenties to their sixties. There is often the opportunity to take part in leisure activities. The staff team consists of a Head of Service, one Senior Support Worker and eleven full-time equivalent Support Workers. There are at least two members of staff working on each shift with extra support provided throughout the day. There is one waking night plus one sleep-in member of staff overnight.
