The Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment and Intervention Team (ASDAIT) is a multi-agency partnership between health, social services and education. Referrals to the service can be made via the National Health Service (NHS) general practitioners (GPs) or other medical practitioners. The service accepts users aged 5-16 years.
Assessment procedure: Paediatric medical review; questionnaires (strengths & difficulties questionnaire, appopriate autism/communication questionnaire); school observations; ADI-R and ADOS.
Follow up service: Yes - Paediatric support and specific psychology or psychiatric support as required.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Clinical Psychology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychologist and Head of Service for Children with Autism and Communication Disorders.

Age: From age 5 to 16
Aimed at: Adolescent , Child , Young person
