Magpie Dance is an inclusive dance company for people with learning disabilities. Based in Bromley, it is accessible to all surrounding boroughs and can deliver workshops to any region in the United Kingdom (UK). Magpie is about dance for people with learning disabilities and has carved out a reputation for its approach to inclusive dance. The company's ethos is informed by an emphasis on ability rather than disability. Magpie Dance hold the following weekly term-time sessions (all accompanied by live music - no previous dance experience necessary): Adult Community Class Sessions: Wednesday: 1.30pm-3.00pm: Crofton Halls, York Rise, Orpington, BR6 8PR (next to Orpington train station); Thursday: 11.00am-12.30pm: The Great Hall, Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH Youth Group Juniors (9-15 year olds); Saturday: 1.00pm-2.30pm: Langley Park Boys School, Beckenham, BR3 3BP. Youth Group Sessions (16-25 year olds); Wednesday: 4.30pm-6.30pm: United Reformed Church, 20 Widmore Road, Bromley, BR1 1RY (next to large Boots Chemist - Bromley High Street); Saturday:10.30am-12.30pm: Langley Park Boys School, Beckenham, BR3. Classes cost £10 per session (or £90 per term if paid in advance) and £5 for new joiners (1st term only). Further reductions available on request.
