Mayfield is a home for children and young people with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour. It has capacity for up to eighteen children and young people located in five separate self-contained units, each one having its’ own unique homely atmosphere. Mayfield can accommodate children and young people between the age of five and twenty-five. One of the units is a dedicated transition unit for young people between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five. Another unit is for short breaks accommodating children for a night, weekend, a week or for a holiday period. There is easy road access and good train services to Wadhurst and Crowborough which have services to London. The home sits in grounds of just under two acres with an activity centre, sensory garden and indoor swimming pool. There are activities both in the home and in the immediate locality leading to a stimulating setting for children and young people.
