Rukhsana Maherali has assessed and worked with children who have autism or Asperger syndrome since 1983. She accepts private referrals from parents, LEA's and solicitors. The assessment procedure includes: observation, history from parents, observation checklist, ABC (Krug et al), The Autistic Continuum (Aarons & Gittens), CARS, WADIC Structured I/V DISCO training. She is able to make home visits, visit a client's nursery, school or college, provide independent expert reports and attend tribunals/educational appeal committees.
