We have 3 consultants here now - Ian Male, Fiona Weir and
Emma Gupta. We take up to 8 years old. Children 9-11 years discussed with Child
and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and often end up with us but
we don't see all in this age group..
Assessment procedure: Pre-school: see paediatrican and monitored by speech and language therapy, leading to joint diagnostic assessment. School: see paediatrician, in school assessment by clinical psychologist leading to joint assessment.
Follow up service: Yes, currently paediatric follow up.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, professions involved: Clinical psychology, paediatrics, speech and language therapy (largely pre-school) CAHMS, clinical psychology mostly school age.
