Money Advice Scotland (MAS) was set up in 1989 courtesy of a grant from the Scottish Consumer Council as the umbrella organisation to represent individuals and agencies involved in all areas of money advice (debt advice). It does not provide an advice service direct to the public ourselves, but keeps up to date details of advice agencies throughout Scotland who provide a free, independent, impartial and confidential money advice service. There is an online directory of advice agancies on its website www.moneyadvicescotland.org.uk
