Type of service: Advocacy (general), Family support and information services

The information service provides an outreach service to assist disabled people applying for welfare benefits and challenging decisions. A helpline is also run Monday-Friday for any disability-related issue on 0116 2314425. The advocacy service is for one-to-one work for disabled people who need advocacy support. The service is provided for people in Leicester City who have a physical/sensory disability, for people in Leicestershire/Rutland the service supports people who have either a physical/sensory/learning disability. It is a free service but only general advocacy is provided, legal advocacy is not.
