Main information
Type of service: Campaigning and lobbying organisations
The Campaigns Team at The National Autistic Society coordinates public campaigns and supports people to campaign locally to improve the rights and experiences of people with autism. The National Autistic Society’s make school make sense campaign aimed to improve educational provision for children with autism, so that every child could get the education they deserved. We need your support to make their campaign a success. Visit www.autism.org.uk/campaign to find out more. Campaigning is critical if people with autism and their families are to get a better deal from society, and from the services that exist to support them. But it can be a difficult to know where to start! To help you, The National Autistic Society has published Campaigning with The National Autistic Society. This practical toolkit includes information on how to build a successful campaign, working with the media and how to contact and lobby your local and national decision makers. Download the toolkit at www.autism.org.uk/toolkit.
