NAS East Midlands Supported Living Service
Main information
Type of service: Supported living schemes
Our supported living services are aimed at people with autism or Asperger syndrome who wish to learn to live independently or semi-independently. We find and support people in nicely presented properties that are close to local amenities and transport routes. Whether support is needed for 2 hours a day, 24 hours a day (or anything inbetween), we can meet the need and adjust the support over time to make sure it is never too much or too little. The people in our supported living services develop daily living skills, budgetting skills, social and work opportunities, friends, interests and confidence. We are happy to discuss particular requirements to see how we can find or adapt properties to get them 'just right' and we understand that it is often the little things that make a big difference. We use person centred planning and other approaches to help us ensure the person gets what they need and want. Supported living services are currently offered in Leicestershire and Warwickshire. Number of clients are 6.
