NAS Greater Manchester Outreach Service
Main information
Type of service: Outreach
Service URL: http://www.autism.org.uk/manchester
Our flexible outreach service enables autistic adults in Greater Manchester to take part in a range of activities which help them to build their confidence, develop skills and knowledge, and gain greater independence in all aspects of their life. We offer support in their own home, the family home, the community, or a university, college or other educational setting. We can provide meaningful support for a minimum of 25 hours per week - over a long or short term period, on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. It all depends on what the individual person needs. We work closely with people to create their individual plan and support them to keep it live, to enable people to communicate effectively, and to express their wishes. We also run a telephone support service. Staff are specially trained to provide high standards of support to people on the autism spectrum.
