NAS Leicestershire Residential Service at Camden Road is designed to incorporate known benefits to young people and adults with autism aged 16+. Optimum sized rooms are not overcrowded or over stimulating, low arousal with autism-friendly decorations. Each resident has their own bedroom, individually tailored but in line with registration standards unless individual exemptions are needed. There is a quiet room and exercise room over the two houses and large gardens at the rear of each house. Camden Road units cater for young adults with autism and accompanying learning difficulty, male and female. Baseline fee includes full day care support, reflecting educational, vocational and leisure programmes, carried out either in house or in the wider community offering a range of community based opportunities incorporating local amenities and facilities. For people assessed as exhibiting more complex needs, individual packages are brought into place, reflected in care plans, and costed accordingly.
