Type of service: Day schools, Outreach - education, Residential schools, Schools, Respite and short breaks

Radlett Lodge School was founded in 1974 specialising in educating children with autism aged from 4-19 years of age. Rated Ofsted Outstanding, we accommodate 55 day pupils - 14 of which are weekly and termly boarders. Children are funded by the Local Education Authorities (LEAs) we work with. Facilities include 9 classrooms, art & technology area, teaching kitchen, sensory room, soft play, gymnasium and 2 playgrounds. We offer early years, primary, secondary and post-16 education following the principles of MyProgress. At every stage we design your child's curriculum individually around their needs, interests and skills. All of our pupils follow a differentiated National Curriculum, with a strong emphasis on communication and Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHCE) in all lessons. From age 4 to 16 years, we teach all subjects including literacy, numeracy, science, history, geography, information and communications technology (ICT), religious education (RE), physical education (PE), and a range of arts-related subjects. The curriculum is extremely flexible, and your child will learn at a level and pace to suit them, in addition to being in a class alongside pupils of similar abilities. We are proud of our Post 16 unit which is completely personalised, and our person-centred planning approach enables you and your child to plan their Post 16 education in order to provide them with what they need to prepare for adult life. The curriculum is geared specifically to the needs of pupils. We are able to offer a variety of flexi-boarding packages for pupils who attend the school. The school also offers flexi-boarding and parent networking. Other types of short breaks offered by the school are flexi-boarding for all pupils on school roll and weekend.
