National Debtline is a national telephone helpline providing free confidential and independent advice for people with debt problems in England, Scotland and Wales. The service is free, confidential and independent. National Debtline is now part of the Money Advice Trust, (registered charity no 1099506). The service provides self-help advice to its callers and also produces written self-help packs and factsheets to back this up. The National Debtline can also assist callers who wish to deal with their debts through either a debt management plan (DMP) or a debt relief order (DRO) in England and Wales, or Debt Management Plans for Scotland. The helpline is open Monday - Friday, 9am to 9pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm. It is also possible to email the National Debtline on a form on the website www.nationaldebtline.co.uk.
