New Horizons is an intensive support day service for adults who have profound and more complex learning disabilities including sensory impairments and additional physical needs. The service can accommodate up to twelve people a day at any one time; a high level of quality day care in accordance with individual needs, through meaningful and developmental activities, both within the service setting and within the local community is offered at New Horizons. Opportunities for people to make new friendships, build positive and valued relationships are available for individuals attending the day service. The service offers hydrotherapy, basic skills training, clinical support from nurses, therapists and GP's, individual packages of care, multidisciplinary and multiagency working and health promotion. New Horizons provides a sensory room, activities room and computer room for individuals. There is a daily choice of menu each day and other menus are available to cater for special diets. All spiritual, ethical and cultural needs are met and catered for on an individual basis.
