Type of service: Diagnostic services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
Provides a diagnostic service for children aged 0 to 16 years (or 18 if attending school) and living in Shetland. Adopts a multi-disciplinary assessment, including clinical psychology, paediatrics, psychiatry, and speech and language therapy. Following diagnosis, referral may be made to additional services such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy etc.
Assessment procedure: Assessments provided by Clinical Psychologist, Consultant Psychiatrist and Community Psychiatric Nurse.
Follow up service: Yes - referral to a range of services such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy etc.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes: Clinical Psychology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Speech and Language Therapy.
