85, Whyteleafe Road is an imposing detached property set on a large corner plot with a private garden and parking for approximately twelve cars. The house has been developed into three four bed-roomed flats for people with autism and learning difficulties - to experience a new kind of independence. Service users - hereafter referred to as tenants - will be supported to develop their own lifestyle in the community with care provided (according to assessed need). The domiciliary care agency is on the same site but is separate from the dwellings. The office is open throughout the day and there is twenty four hour cover within the flats if required. .
We specialise in promoting independent living to young adults with autism and autistic traits. We encourage social inclusion in the community as an opportunity for self development to all tenants whilst considering the effects of their autism and their ability and anxieties . We offer opportunities for social inclusion in the community to all tenants according to their individual choices and personal wishes.
A wide range of facilities are nearby including a gym and leisure centre , library, bowling alley, shopping facilities, various food outlets, cinema, health facilities etc. The railway station is about a ten minute walk and there are ample bus services to Purley and Croydon. The property is also within easy reach of open countryside.
