This is a Local Authority (LA) funded mainstream autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Base. They opened a unit for pupils with an ASD. We take children who are allocated a place to The Base by the LA. Other children with ASD are admitted through normal school entrance procedures. We offer support and intervention on a personalised basis and aim to integrate each child into mainstream lessons as far as possible. We have several children with ASD in the 6th form. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
