North Yorkshire SENDIASS (The Special Educational Needs, Disability Information, Advice, Support Service) used to be better known as Parent Partnership Service until 2014. It provides confidential, free and impartial information, advice and support to parents or carers of children who have special educational needs, learning difficulties or disabilities. It also welcomes young people to use this service up to the age of 25 years. North Yorkshire SENDIASS is freely available to all children and young people and their parents/carers whether or not they have an Education statement or an education, health and care (EHC) Plan. The team of SENDIASS co-ordinators are all qualified and experienced, all have some formal special educational needs (SEN) legal training and are based at the locations written below across the county. The Co-ordinators can be called directly on their details below but please understand they are part time and it may take a couple of days to return your call. There is also a dedicated Enquiry line open on Tuesday and Friday mornings between 9:30am-1pm where someone can talk to you. Please contact the Enquiry line on 01609 536923. This is manned by a Co-Ordinator and open throughout the year, including school holidays.
