We are a self-advocacy organisation for people with a learning disability. The organisation supports people to speak up for themselves so they can achieve their life goals. If you are an adult with a learning disability who lives, works or attends a Day Centre or College in North Somerset you can be a member of North Somerset People First. We are managed by an elected committee and we all have learning disabilities. The Committee make all of the decisions about the organisation. This could be about policies, finances, staffing and projects. The Committee are supported by advisers who ensure the committee understands all of the topics that are discussed at their monthly management meetings. This enables the committee to make the correct decisions.
