The Stella Maris Communication and Language Base (CLB) is a recent addition to the school and provides support for identified young people diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). The base supports them in accessing mainstream education in Notre Dame High School. The CLB has three teachers and four Support Assistants who work closely with the young people and class teachers primarily in the classroom setting. Placement in the CLB is a decision of Inverclyde's ASN Monitoring Forum.
