Oak Grove College
Main information
Type of service: Day schools, Schools
A generic secondary special school for ages 11-19 years. Oak Grove is a community generic special school maintained by West Sussex County Council, providing special education for students with learning difficulties from Year 7 to Year 14. Its catchment area covers Worthing and the surrounding areas from Portslade and Shoreham to Littlehampton and inland as far as Steyning and Pulborough. Oak Grove provides a dynamic, safe and stimulating learning environment for all of our students and has an experienced and dedicated staff team who aspire to provide the best learning opportunities for all of our students all of the time. Our core purpose is ensuring all of our students are nurtured to ensure they develop the communication, social, life and vocational skills necessary to take an active role as citizens in the local, national and international community. This is achieved by creative approaches to learning where many off site visits are undertaken, the grounds are used extensively and a practical approach to the curriculum is undertaken. Here at Oak Grove we are all immensely proud of our College and we welcome visits from families and indeed from professionals from other organisations.
