We are a small all age (3-19 years) special school. Students with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are educated with groups suited to their individual needs with or without other students with an ASD. All staff have autism training. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. We use enhanced criminal records bureau (CRB) checks to ensure student safety. The school uses the Structure, Positive (approaches and expectations), Empathy, Low arousal, Links (SPELL) framework. Oak View is a special school for children aged 3-19 years and who have severe or profound learning difficulties; they may also have learning needs within the autism spectrum.
