Overley Hall School is a small, residential, independent special school offering education and care for children with severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism, epilepsy and associated challenging behaviours. Within the school, there are four class groups - grouped according to age and ability. There is a high staffing ratio, both within the school and care settings. Students within the school have access to gaining nationally accredited awards through Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCR) and Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA). In the care setting there are five family units - grouped according to ability and compatibility. In both education and care settings, the 24 hour curriculum operates and great importance is placed upon communication, social skills and individuality. Another disability catered for by the school is Smith-Magenis syndrome. The school is registered for a maximum of 22 pupils.
