PAMIS has been working in Grampian since 2005 to influence the development of good quality services to people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and improve their quality of life. PAMIS offers support to families, adults and children with profound and multiple learning disabilities and the professionals supporting them. PAMIS aims to act as a resource that can be drawn on to develop best practice in Grampian The services offered can be, individual support to the families, practical help at meetings, information or relevant training through the PAMIS training workshop programme. In addition, PAMIS has a Transitions project running in the area. PAMIS offers support in developing electronic passports for those with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and are currently - in 2015 - running a project to help carers access self directed support (SDS) in the area.
